I asked my 5 years old and he went with the 13 (a). Because it is easy to count he like it better. :)
Of course the answer is not so obvious otherwise I would not ask it.
All the answers are correct: Now you will ask how. To friends who know math and little computer science Hexadecimal, Octal, Decimal.
It depend on the "Principal of Understanding" in Arabic or Urdu "Usool-Fiqh" .
Since for the common practice we follow decimal system and no one deviate from it otherwise there will be ciaos. Imagine you buy some groceries and try to add in Hexadecimal and want to pay, the shopkeeper will through you out of the store. Although your math will be fine and correct. or if you end up in country who to business in octal and you want decimal same problem.
But in the matter of our deen Islam we want to be like 5 years old to pick and choose what is easy and completely disregard the Usool.
Lot of friends want to use Hanafi, Shafai and humbly at the same time and the argument is that "aren't they all correct"
Answer is that yes they are but their principals are all different, when you follow one type of pricipal (taqleed) it is for the ease of use and simplification of life.
If you do not follow a single imam's principals then you are like 5 years old who disregard the principal and take whatever look cool. Unless you come up with some new principals al togather. That is major reason of caos in our religion now a days. Specially if you read the recent recomendations of "Islamic Nazriati Concel" in Paksitan.
I hope that we all think hard on our atitude for our religion and give "Principals of understanding" of any issue more then the end product of each problem.
